Deep brain stimulation is one of the ways that anyone can use to help with many emotional problems. The psychology behind emotional scarring and depression is that the wound lies not within the physical dimension within the body, but it is reproduced within specific parts of the mind. These are where the centres of emotion, the centres of memory and subconscious lie – working together like a VCR set to loop. This is an extreme example of how the normal functions of the conscious mind and the functions of the preconscious can be disturbed to such an extent. Usually, our physical awareness is able to filter all the negative emotions and rationale thought and critical thinking is able to diffuse these feelings into broken down aspects of thought, which can be subjected to critical thought.

Have you ever wanted to achieve superior mind power?
The first way would be meditation. More often than not our minds are cluttered by our busy schedules, our stresses of work and home, our bad relationship, our money woes and thinking about our future. Taken as a whole, they can create quite a mess within our minds and marginalise our ability to focus and rearrange our thoughts. Not only do they create clutter in our mind, it also clogs up the pipes within our minds – the very pipes we can use to funnel the immense power of the mind and place it within our hands. Meditation helps because of the simple fact that it relaxes the mind and places us within the same levels as our higher consciousness.

This is the difference between the general and specific. Hypnosis is a blunt tool when it comes to mind control and its main strength is opening the mind up and making it more malleable for change. This general approach is why a hypnosis tape won’t work as well as brainwave entrainment technology. There is a hope factor when hypnosis is in the bargain because the messages that are inserted in are inserted into an environment where they may or may not be accepted by the subconscious. Hypnosis is no guarantee that the mind can be reprogrammed because scientifically speaking there is a specific frequency that the brain and its neurons must be in so that messages can be effectively placed.

One very famous hypnotist, one whose name I shall not mention recently said a very shocking and controversial statement. Hypnosis doesn’t work at all. He mentions that the media has painted a very pretty picture of hypnosis, through movies and pulp fictions combined with a healthy dose of urban myth – making people believe that it is a one stop solution for everyone’s problems, that a good hypnosis can reach down into the mind, control it and pull out all the bad things in the subject.

Instead of just making vague promises to yourself, why not actually pen down your goals on a piece of paper and put down a specific time line for each. There are no compromises when it comes to self improvement and every effort should be expended when it comes to making a better life for yourself. Forget the past failures, forget the times when you were just not able to achieve your goals. Never should there be a need to hide in a corner and let the shame overcome you, and you should no longer let the feeling of guilt and discontent whenever a goal you have so fervently promised yourself to achieve has slipped away again get to you. Science has come along and given us a life raft to reach our destinations. Through technology like brainwave entrainment, we are now able to take hold of ourselves – using the hidden power of the human mind to achieve goals.

The subconscious mind lives and operates in the mind beneath and way out of the range of the conscious mind. The term was coined by the French in the early 1800’s and they discovered that there lay in the brain a separate form of conscious that was linked tightly to the various functions in the cerebrum. The subconscious has been central in the philosophy of the mind, and how the mind and the body act as a single and sometimes separate unit. The mind is the hive, the controlling agent that uses electrical impulses through the various lobes in the brain that commands the bodily functions, personality traits – basically the soul and spirit of the human race.

Spiralling down into a state of wake-unconsciousness is not like how you see it on T.V. Self hypnosis is something I would not recommend because the potential disasters are very real and severe damage could happen to anyone who doesn’t know what they are doing. Now, I realise that it is extremely useful and that personal development practitioners have been touting the power of hypnotism for the past few decades.

If you have never heard of brainwave technology or even its applications then you are in for a treat. The technology has been around for a long time actually, 200 years if you want to be exact and it used to be in the preserve of the medical and scientific industry – because it was deemed too powerful a tool to be freely available to the mass market. The machines were bulky, the systems complicated and you need a controlled environment with specific scientific variables before you could even embark on a journey to tap into the power of brainwaves and use them for your own benefit. This is where the benefits of brainwave technology are revealed.

About 200 hundred years a go a German scientist named Heinrich Wilhelm Dove discovered that the brain responds to different frequencies introduced to the mind. These engineered and sculpted sounds are felt within the superior olivary nucleus of the brain, right smack in the brain stem. Originally believed to influence the auditory responses in the brain exclusively, binaural beats has come a long way since and now is believed and proven to entrain the brain to produce specific electromagnetic impulses that follow a frequency pattern.
